More technical difficulties....

Hello everyone. I have been having more technical difficulties. I am for some reason not able to comment on people's blogs who have the plain old "blogger" comment form. If people have other comment systems, it lets me. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know, I would appreciate it very much. I'm very frustrated as I don't have much time for blogging and every time I do, something is not working.

Edit: Now I'm noticing that some of my comments were showing up blank or a bunch of times. I don't know why this is but if you have a bunch of weird comments from me or the same one ten times or blank ones, just ignore them, sorry. I have no idea what the hell is going on.

A Look For Going Out Featuring MAC Rebel

MAC's MAC Me Over collection came out awhile ago and there were four lipsticks that caught my eye: Runway Red, Prince Noir, Smoked Purple, and Rebel. These all looked like great colours for fall and I was drooling over them when I realized something.......I got Rebel months ago when I Back 2 MAC-ed a bunch of old foundation bottles! SWEET! Then I realized I even had a look I did with it in my blogging pictures folder! DOUBLE SWEET! Since I am planning to go and Back 2 MAC for one of the other lovely shades I just mentioned later on, I thought today would be a great day to post this look! I can't believe I forgot about it......perhaps I should tone it down on the makeup purchases. Anyway, this is a look I did for going out with some friends from my home city before I moved.

FACE: MAC Prep and Prime, MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC15, MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC15.

BROWS: MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Stud.

CHEEKS: MAC Mineralize Blush in Two Virtues....another thing I bought and kind of forgot about!

LIPS: MAC lipstick in Rebel.

EYES: Base - UDPP and MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre.
Eyeshadows -All from Sleek Sparkle Palette
Inner Corner: Gold Ribbon with gold glitter on top from the NYX glitter cream palette in Royal Violets.
Inner Lid - Star Light
Outer Lid - Glitz & Glamour
Crease and Outer V- Noir
Upper Crease - Cranberry
Between Liner Wings - Cranberry blended into Gold Ribbon

Upper Lashline and Wings - Maybelline Black Liquid Eyeliner
Lower Lashline - UD 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Oil Slick

Lashes - Maybelline The Falsies Flared Mascara

I really adore this colour. I find that pink lipsticks attract me because I love pink but they never seem to be particularly flattering on me. I think this one actually goes rather well with my colouring and skintone.

My Outfit:
Dress (which is too short/too small/too low cut for me but I'm wearing it ANYWAY): ONLY
Faux Leather Jacket: ONLY
Tube Top (under dress to prevent excessive cleavage): American Apparel
Shoes: Le Chateau
Fishnet Stockings: Walmart
Waist Belt: Le Chateau
Necklace: Le Chateau
Watch/Bracelet: Nixon

I'll leave you with a very "special" picture of myself that I found whilst going through these photos:

This IS mah smile!

Have a "special" day!

Toxic Sunset

I was saying in a previous post that I had seen many sunset inspired looks this summer. After I did my Vibrant Summer Sunset look, I decided to try and do a dark sunset look. It was kind of inspired by the idea behind the Illamasqua Toxic Nature collection. The makeup pictures were supposed to reflect how unnatural everything and everyone would look once the whole planet is polluted and radioactive in the future...or something. That's kind of what I got out of it anyway. This is how I think a the colours of a sunset would look reflecting back at us from the oily black surface of a toxic ocean at the end of the world!

FACE: MAC Prep and Prime, MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC15, MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC15.

BROWS: Annabelle Eyebrow Pencils in Medium Brown and Soft Black.

CHEEKS: The tiniest bit of MAC Coygirl blush.

LIPS: Evil Shades Deviant Lipstick in Fateful with Medusa's Makeup Big Bird Eye Dust blended in the middle of the lips. Then I used MAC's I Want Candy Dazzleglass Creme over the yellow eyeshadow and Evil Shades Hardcore Lips in Astrea's Embrace over the lipstick.

EYES: Base: UDPP with MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre over top.
Middle lid: Sugarpill Buttercupcake.
Outer-V and Inner Lid: Sugarpill Poison Plum and a black eyeshadow that is not in my equipment picture but I'm assuming it was NARS Night Breed.
Browbone - Sugarpill Tako, also not pictured.
Upper Lashline - Maybelline Black Liquid Eyeliner.
Lower Lashline - UD 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Rockstar with a little bit of Geisha Ink.
Wings of Lower Lashline - Avon Daring Definition Gel Eyeliner in Black. Sugarpill Tako and Buttercupcake were blended out between the wings.
Mascara - Maybelline the Colossal.

I think I put way too many pictures but I enjoyed how this turned out. I need to crack this one out again for the goth club one of these days.

I kind of messed up when I was applying the glosses over the lipstick and eyeshadow. It kind of looked better before but what can you do?

This look was done during a study break when I was preparing for my licensing exam awhile back. I ended up going to the gym later in the day and thought about taking the makeup off first. I took the lipstick off but left the eyes on and OF COURSE I had to run into someone from my university class. She looked at me like I had lost my mind! I suppose she wasn't entirely off.......

More Good Times with Search Terms

Hello everyone! I'm still way behind on my dashboard due to the unfortunate and untimely death of my laptop. It's name was, rather appropriately, Laptop. I have put Laptop in a box and sent him back to the maufacturer as they refuse to refund my money or replace him even though I had him for a grand total of 2 months and used him about 4 times. Perhaps these people know how to resurrect him? Anyway, I might actually post some makeup tomorrow if I manage to get home from work at a decent hour. For now, it's time for some wacko search terms.

I must have a really odd blog because people seem to find it in the weirdest ways. Here's another roundup of search terms that have brought me traffic recently.

-"Ugly Girl Vulcan Bar"  I typed this into Google images and a picture of my face came up. I'm REALLY glad that when people search for ugly girls, they find pictures of me! GREAT!

-"Black and Pink Barbie Head Shirt" I do not have one of those. Move along.....

-"Power Career 80's Term" Um, what?

-"DIY Undergarments" I can't help you out there.

-"How to Make Coral out of Clay" Uh, I REALLY can't help you out there!

-"Black Spike Labret Face" I suppose I could help you out there, as I have both a face and a labret piercing. I even have a black spike for it!

And last but not least, my all time favourite: "LOOKING AT ME WEIRD TAKE PICTURES OF MYSELF!!!" Um, I suppose that kind of sums up what I do here....

Anyway, it would be nice if people who were looking for makeup actually found my blog, but alas, this is not to be. Oh well, I have to say that these search term stats are super amusing, I never know what I'm going to get!

Got any weird ones lately? Do share!

10-Year Anniversary!

I'm not really a sentimental or sappy kind of person, but I think that this deserves a mention. Yesterday was myself and my common-law husband type of person's 10 year anniversary of being together! We met in highschool in Christian Ethics class which is quite ironic since we are both atheists who were forced by our parents to attend Catholic school. We first started talking as I saw that he had an AFI CD with him and we were some of the very few people in our grade who liked punk/metal/alternative music. We went to practically every single all ages punk show in Regina while we were in grade 11 and 12 and AFI was one of our favourites. When we graduated from high school, we moved to a different city together to go to University and the gentlemen who promoted the all the punk shows said he would miss us coming to all of the concerts because we were so cute so he let us go backstage at an AFI concert that we went to before we left! Here is one of my favourite pictures of us ever.

DO click to enlarge if you can't see my teardrop eyeliner. It really is quite "special" LOL!
OMG! We were so skinny and young looking! We were 17 years old! I used to be thin and have pink hair and wear my eyeliner like a teardrop (oh, the embarrassment!) I have two different collars on and an AFI fanclub t-shirt with safety pins! I'm sitting by Davey Havok! My common law person still had hair to make into a mohawk! He let me put makeup on him! He's wearing long underwear under his clothes because the people on SLC punk did that!

Here we are today. We are older, fatter, balder, wiser(?) and a lot more grown-up looking. I can't believe we've been together for 10 years without killing each other! It's a miracle! Oh my, looking at these pictures is kind of scary. Time is a cruel mistress, just look what happened to us in just 9 years! I fear seeing what we will look like in another 10 years, lol!

Technical Difficulties

Hello everyone! I have been experiencing some "technical difficulties" such as my home computer's monitor dying followed by being stuck in a hotel in a small town for a week with a dead laptop. I seriously used it like 5 times and it just shut off and never turned on again. I thought being stuck in a hotel for a week with a laptop would be awesome as I would have lots of time for blogging but it just had to wait to die right on the first day I was out there. I apologize for my lack of commenting and my super late to the party comments that should soon be popping up.
