A Closeted Goth Girl Trying to Make it in the Professional World

I'm A Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaake

It is Saturday so it's time for a clubbing outfit! This outfit features a Killstar Clothing dress with a ridiculous snake print. The print is pretty obnoxious and it was in the clearance section of the website so I bought it even though I was not so sure about the cut of the dress. The dress fits; unfortunately the cut is loose in the bust and natural waist area and tighter in the stomach/hips area which is the opposite of what I would normally go for. I believe it would be more flattering on a thinner person with a smaller bust. It looks okay from the front but if you are looking at me from the side it is less than flattering to my figure. Damn you, online shopping! Nevertheless, I really really like the print on the dress so I wore it out to the club where it is dark enough to hide any clothing flaws ;) If I were to wear it in better lighting, I cropped jacket over top would fix the problem.

EQUIPMENT

MAC Cremesheen Glass in Jet Boy, Kat von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Plan 9, Lady Gaga Fame perfume, UD 24/7 Liners in Graffiti and Junkie, Stila Liquid Eyeliner in moss, Fyrinnae Dressed to Kill Eyeshadow, The Rogue and the Wolf ring, earrings from Le Chateau.

EYES

LIPS

I bought Kat von D Plan 9 lipstick while on a slightly intoxicated trip to Sephora in Vegas. It seemed like a good idea at the time. It is not as patchy as it appears in the above photo; I put lipgloss over top which diminishes the staying power of the lipstick.
For my hairstyle, I did a wet-styled bun mohawk. If I can wet-style my hair into submission, it's a good day.

MAKEUP AND HAIR

Because I am a complete idiot, this is all that I can think about whilst wearing this dress. God bless YouTube.

  2. WOW! Just wow, you look incredible.

Yup, I suffer from fit issues ordering online - especially when companies change their sizing policies and then lie about it (Hell Bunny / Spin Doctor - I'm thinking off you....)

  4. Holy cow, that dress is fabulous. I do most, if not all, of my shopping online these days, and yeah, fit is hard. But since I do it so often now, I mostly have my sizes in different brands down, and after finally breaking down, whipping out my tape measure and taking my measurements a couple of years ago, it is SO much easier. Still, there are times when it fails, and then it's all very disappointing, lol.
